Samson Enterprises Ltd. is the largest manufacturer of fibreglass boats in Eastern Nova Scotia. We are located on Isle Madame, Cape Breton Island and have been building custom fishing, commercial and pleasure boats since 1986. Our boats are built with quality to ensure the highest degree of safety when boating and fishing in our Canadian cold and rough waters.
Our facilities consist of three shops ; Lennox Passage, Pondville and Mouse Island Marine.
Lennox Passage, our moulding shops, where the hulls are manufactured and can be sold as kits at any stage of completion or as finished products. These kits are completed at our finishing shop in Pondville. The Mouse Island Marine Centre is our repair shop and is home to our 150-ton marine TraveLift, marine store, storage and maintenance facility.
At Samson Enterprises we take pride in our rugged, seaworthy vessels we produce from our high-quality moulds. We know that buying a boat, whether you’re a first time buyer or a long time seaman, is a big decision.

Why Nova Scotia? TRADITION!
Nova Scotia has a rich seafaring history as some of the most famous boats in the world have been built in Nova Scotia from elegant three-mast Tern Schooners to our famous Salt Bankers. We are very proud of our heritage as we marry old time proven tradition with modern technologies for state of the art boat construction.
In Nova Scotia, the building of yachts goes back farther than many people might imagine. The Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS), located in Halifax and founded in 1837, lays claim to being the oldest yacht club in North America. As early as the 1840s yachts were being built in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Isle Madame is an island located off the South Coast of Cape Breton Island that has supported fishing ports since the Europeans first started fishing off North America.
Samson Enterprises are known for building boats that are safe, durable, and seaworthy. We are proud of our record in building boats suitable for rough Canadian cold waters captained by our brave fisherman.
